THE MAGICK FIELD
The Magic Field is the story of Cardmella, a little scarecrow who goes on a journey to turn her dreams into reality, exploring her imagination's power.
It is a work-in-progress installation fusing old-school puppetry and moving dioramas with cutting-edge AR technology to tell this magical story. These handcrafted story boxes have QR codes within them, triggering an animation that can be viewed through a tablet or a smartphone device.
Part of this project is the development of a silent book where multilingual families can recreate Cardmella's story for their children using their mother tongue.
The development of THE MAGICK FIELD’s project was born with the support of the ARTS COUNCIL through the YPCE Bursary Awards and commissioned by THE CIIVIC’s ongoing programme Ready, Steady, Show! DIGITAL.
